HR Manager - Part Time Flexible hours

The role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to report directly to the General Manager and manage the HR function of the business based in Taren Point.

As a trusted business partner you will advise on people development, employment relations, sourcing and engagement, performance reviews, salary reviews, Work Health and Safety and payroll.

You are able to work across strategic and operational HR and are all about creating people initiatives that will make a real difference to our culture.

The role is 3-4 days per week with the opportunity to discuss flexible arrangements. Some travel will be required to provide support to the Melbourne based team.

You

  • Comfortable working in a stand alone HR function
  • Enjoy making a difference through ensuring best practice HR support is in place
  • Hands on, reactive and tactical in solving problems when required, but able to think strategically and keep those longer terms goals in mind in daily decision making
  • 3- 5 years working as a HR Generalist (industry experience in the events, hotel or hospitality industry would be highly regarded)
  • A great stakeholder manager with experience in influencing business decisions and outcomes
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of employment law and recent case law knowledge
  • A thorough understanding of WHS responsibilities
  • Previous experience in managing Xero payroll is an advantage
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources

Warehouse Manager

A full time opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Manager to manage our new warehouse located in Taren Point. Ideally we're looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with working knowledge of vision, sound and lighting.

The position requires a "hands-on" approach to leading a team in the co-ordination of all receiving, storage and dispatch activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct warehouse logistics 
  • Manage the inventory of stock in and out of the warehouse
  • Plan warehouse based work, assign tasks and appraise results
  • Ensure all equipment is prepped in accordance to our clients specifications
  • Implement and train new staff on warehouse practices and procedures
  • Coordinate interstate stock transfers
  • Manage the quality of stock, repairing and reporting damages to Operations

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in warehouse management, freight and/or logistics
  • Experience in the Audio Visual Events industry
  • Building, carpentry and experience in using power tools
  • Leading and managing small teams to deliver results

  • Has the ability to deliver work in a fast paced environment to short lead times when necessary
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver to deadlines and quality standards
  • OH&S experience in implementation of workplace safety initiatives 
  • Current Australian (or international equivalent) drivers license
  • Current Forklift ticket
